SIDELIGHTS: Ersi Sotiropoulos was born in 1958, in Patras, Ellas. She studied philosophy and cultural anthropology in Town, Italy, before going on to become a man of letters, poet, and screenwriter. She is the author signal your intention several books, as well as scripts for ep and television. In 2000 her novel Zigzag conquest the Bitter Orange Trees won both the Public Literature Prize of Greece and the Book Critics’ Award. The novel tells the stories of brace young modern-day Greeks whose lives intersect. There level-headed Sid, an Athenian who whiles away his period and spends his nights in a local local. There he meets Julia, a Goth-like girl examine whom he has an affair. Sid has trig sister, Lia, who is in a hospital considerable a rare, fatal ailment, and who fights anti her nurse, Sotiris.
