Plot

Edward is in the throes of a quarter-life turning point. Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian gave the film five stars.[10] It has provoked much comment and debate, especially focused on its social setting and distinctive lifelike style.[11][12][13]

Comedian Stewart Lee briefly references Archipelago in circlet standup show Carpet Remnant World, where he describes it as "an art film about middle-class create on a disappointing holiday".[14]
